A new era of additive manufacturing
The QUEEN 1 is the centerpiece of the newly established additive manufacturing department at C.F. Maier. This long-term investment makes it possible to fully exploit the potential of 3D printing technology. In addition to its impressive installation space of 1700 × 1050 × 1050 mm, its ability to process cost-effective plastic granulate is a unique selling point.
The QUEEN 1 uses the VFGF (Variable Fused Granulate Fabrication) process, which uses high-resolution printing only where it is necessary - for example on surfaces - while the inner volume is filled quickly and efficiently with thicker webs. Optimized process algorithms precisely control the material feed, enabling the printing of complex components with support structures and overhangs. This increase in efficiency leads to significant cost savings and improves the profitability of projects for C.F. Maier's customers.
Wide range of applications
The QUEEN 1 opens up new possibilities that go beyond conventional manufacturing processes. It is used in jig and gauge construction, in experimental mold making and in pilot and small series production. Particularly noteworthy is the fast and cost-effective production of large-format prototypes, which significantly improves customers' time-to-market performance. In addition, the system enables the production of lightweight and customized production aids such as templates and assembly carriers, which can be produced more efficiently than with conventional processes.
A significant step for C.F. Maier
“C.F. Maier is proud to now be able to offer its customers large-format 3D printing,” explains Maximilian Maier, CEO of the C.F. Maier Group. “This expansion of our production capabilities is an important milestone and underlines our commitment to always provide the latest technologies and solutions.”
The new department for large-format 3D printing is now available for individual consultations and project realization. The experienced team works closely with customers to develop customized solutions and meet specific requirements. With this technology, C.F. Maier is strengthening its position as a leading innovator in the plastics processing industry.
